i have not forgotten

about you! i will be doing a book review soon on the book i'm currently reading - "where am i wearing". it's a very interesting book, and i must say, i wasn't expecting it to be as good as it is. i'm about halfway through with it so far. the author raises some interesting points...

in other news, my summer ceramics class is in full swing. i only have about 4 or 5 weeks left, and so much that still needs to be done. i am making a dinner set - 4 plates, 4 bowls, 4 mugs, and whatever else i have time for. the shape is definitely japanese-inspired, but i haven't decided what the surface decoration will look like yet. my teacher thinks i should go towards a low relief carving on them, but we'll see. i'm bringing my camera to the studio tomorrow, so hopefully i'll get some good shots of my work in progress.

next time, i'll write more instead of a pseudo-post. ;)
