???

This may be a stupid question, but how can I get the comments people post on my blog to be sent to my email? I currently don't have it set up for that, & I think it'd make things a lot easier.

Not that there's a lot of people commenting...but, you know, for the future.
When I get famous in blogland.
haha

Also, does anyone know of a way to put a PayPal button on your blog, like on the side column?

You know what, I'm just going to make this a post full of questions, now that I'm on a roll.

I have been wondering, ever since I joined Blogger last year, how people host giveaways? I mean, I understand the gist of it I suppose. But I don't understand how these companies get in contact with the people, or how the people get in contact with the companies. And what do they do, just say, 'hey, i like such and such product. give it to me so i can have a giveaway on my blog?' haha I really don't know. Or how in the world does the company find, & pick said person to host a giveaway? I'm guessing a lot of that has to do with your number of followers. I imagine you have to have a million & ten for companies to want to give away their products on your blog. After all, they want as many people as possible to check it out I guess.

And how do you get so many followers??

  2. Hey Leah! First, thanks for your comment. So glad you found Style My Story and that you decided to become a follower :] And very excited to hear that you've discovered fashion & style blogs in general! They are a great resource to gain inspiration and improve personal style! I'm sure you'll find them to be a guilty pleasure in no time. Ha!
In regards to your question as to who takes my pictures, I would have to say that truthfully it just varies from post to post. If there is someone around then I will have them take the shots for me... a friend, sibling, parent, etc. However, if no one is around and I need to go ahead and get my outfit shots for the day, then I'll go somewhere and prop my camera up on a fence, someone's porch, steps... whatever I can find... and then I'll self-timer the pictures. Sorry if that seems kind of unhelpful! But truth be told, it literally just varies from post to post for me on who takes my pics... Anyway, cute blog! As far as followers go, I would advise you to not worry so much about who appears to be following your blog. Many people will read your blog and just never become an actual "follower" over there in the corner. Just have fun and write what you want to write. Be yourself. Readers will come! Promise. Blogging is all about finding a network of people that you relate to. It's generally a very happy & nice community of people with common interests.
    Keep up the good blogging!
    Much blogger love,
    Meg From Style My Story

  3. Hey Leah! Thanks for visiting my blog :)
I'm not sure how to get a paypal button or the comments to come to your email either, but as for a giveaway, I'm just hosting my first one and it seems that the company contacted me. Although I'm sure you can contact a company and ask them to sponsor you and do a giveaway, but I've never done this. I would actually like to do that myself!
And like Meg said above, don't be concerned with followers, this doesn't mean no one is reading your blog or anything. On the contrary, I find that most followers don't even really read the blogs they "follow". So just keep up the great blog!
    Hope that helped!
