My heart & soul need a little bit of this:

So beautiful, just look at that shade of blue. I am seriously longing to be at this place. I would drive the 4 hours (total) just to be there for one day. It's so perfect, a small beach town that isn't commercialized, with only one traffic light in the whole town. Granted, it's busy during summer, with tons of tourists, but they have somehow managed to keep the small town feel alive. A perfect summer night at Kure Beach would be walking along the beach, grabbing some ice cream at the pier, walking to the end and back checking out all the fishermen's catch, and shooing away the pelicans. Ahhh I love it! =)

And if you're up for some downtown galavanting, shopping, or maybe some night life, Wilmington is a mere 15-20ish minutes away. And downtown Wilmington is so awesome - cobblestone streets, right on the bay, lots of cute boutiques and shops, and great restaurants (including Paddy's Hollow at the Cotton Exchange. If you ever go to Wilmington you must check out the Cotton Exchange). I would absolutely love to live around this area later in life.
So, to sum up my ramblings, Kure Beach is my absolute favorite place in the U.S. (that I've been to thus far, and I've been to quite a few places).
Which got me to thinking,
What's yours???
((If all goes well, I might be going here the last weekend in March or the first weekend in April for an early b-day celebration!))
Leah! I love the beach. Those pictures are perfect! I can't waiiiiiit to go to the beach.
