Is it sad that I want one of these...
...more than I want a boyfriend at the moment?
Ehh, probably not.
This picture is so cute!
I would absolutely love to have a dog, specifically a golden retriever, to take care of and love. Take walks in the park, ride in the car with the window down (haha), take to the beach.
I have to wait awhile though before I can get one since I don't have my own place at the moment, and don't make enough $$$ to take care of a dog. I want to be responsible about it, and make sure I have the funds I need to have to keep him happy & healthy. :)
When I do get one, I've been thinking about getting him from a rescue center instead of a breeder or elsewhere. I figure the dogs at the rescue center are more in need of a good home & a second chance than others. There's even a place in Raleigh - Neuse River Golden Retriever Rescue! (Maybe I could volunteer there until I can get one..hmm..)
Ohh, I can't wait. I will be the happiest girl!!

And on a side note, I'm now the proud owner of a
savings account!!!
I opened it up today. :)
Probably not a big deal to anyone else, but for me, it's one more step in the right direction. Yay for being more responsible.
Happy Tuesday everyone!!
Go out & enjoy the sunshine!
Don't forget to come back tomorrow for weheartit Wordless Wednesday!

yay! Opening a savings account is great thing. When I first opened mine, I vowed to put so much in there every single week and not touch it unless it was an emergency.
ReplyDeleteLabradors are the best dogs, Goldren Retrievers are pretty much the same so nice choice. I gre up with at least 3 different black labradors (one died when I was young, the second had to be put down young and the last is my current dog and she is amazing).
ReplyDeleteI think I'm same with you about the dog/boyfriend thing though, haha!
Yeah, after watching Marley & Me, I thought about maybe getting a lab one day (sounds like it should be the opposite, since the dog was nuts in that movie). But for now, a retriever's at the top of my list.
ReplyDeleteWho needs a boyfriend when you can have a dog? haha ;)
Well, it's been my experience that the dog typically sticks around longer than the boyfriend... so I would have to say that's sound decision making. Boyfriends come and go, but your dog will still be there to double as your pillow, friend, and real life stuffed animal. Pick the dog! Pick the dog! ;]
